ok. But not worth it.
The fan did not fit any of my windows with the plastic extender and the acordian screen. I gave it to my boyfriend and it didn’t fit his either.

I bought this fan at Walmart. In fact, I bought two window fans because I didn’t think this fan would be worthy. I got home that night around 11:45pm. It was 81 degrees in the house, but outside it was nice and cool. I set it up and it really pulled the cold air in. The temp dropped to 73 with the fan on. Nice.
My windows are new casement type windows and this one fits perfectly. It has a extension that will make it longer and at the other end, there is a pull out extension that will make it even longer.
I’m returing the other one which is a HAWF2026 – it just doesn’t have the extra extension and the adjustable one (doesn’t have any of them).
I really wished they put a more powerful motor in these, but for the price it’s not bad. If there is a more powerful one I’ll buy it. I’ll give it a 4 star because it’s not powerful enough, but it works great!
BTW, I do have AC in the house, but why use AC when the outside air is chilly already!

The fan definitely makes the room cooler, and it fits my windows. But after an hour or so, I can’t take the sound anymore. It’s like having a buzz saw or a squadron of fighter planes just outside my window. Even on the lower speed, it is unacceptably loud. Much louder than an A/C.

One of the main reason that I purchased this product was because the description stated that twin fans can be controled independently. But as it turns out, it can not be controled independently. It is very disappointing not meeting the product description.

Save your money for the better model
The high-end Holmes window fans are excellent. This is not. Easy reverse dirction means taking the fan out of the window and turning it around! The breeze is weak and it’s noisy.

Sounds like an air show
Some other reviews here nailed it right on the head: this fan sounds like a squadron of screaming jets, or something you would hear in an indoor skydiving park.
